XTECH
Explosive Decontamination Incorporated is a
Canadian owned privately-held corporation based near Calgary, Alberta, Canada
with a branch offices in Ottawa, Ontario and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
XTECH’s
founder, Mr Robert Enman, is a retired Canadian Forces Captain
commissioned from Chief Warrant Officer with over 40 years involvement in
ordnance related issues. Mr Enman serves as President and CEO
and calls
upon
a wealth of personal experience to provide sound management and leadership
to the company.
The support of key senior personnel and Project Support
Office staff with over twenty years experience ensures our corporate goals will
continue to be exceeded.
XTECH is
a highly adaptable organization that is capable of responding
to projects requiring all levels of resources. The quantity and quality of
our key and support personnel
is integral to our ability to mobilize teams regardless of the size or complexity of the task.
Our
technicians have many years of experience dealing with conventional,
chemical,
improvised explosive devices,
demining and battle area clearances.
Our senior technicians are skilled in clearance procedures, identifying
levels of effort and are competent in judging the feasibility of proposed
methodology.
A
number of our technicians have served in senior instructor positions in
Canadian and NATO military explosive ordnance disposal schools.
XTECH provides professional advice and recommendations on the Chemical Weapons
Convention, chemical munitions, and a wide range of other chemical weapons
issues. On staff is Mr Eric Carter, former Chief
Inspector and past Head of the Chemical Weapons Demilitarization Branch
for the Organization of the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
Mr Carter represents XTECH at our branch office near
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
XTECH specializes in the management
of large-scale operations and the hands-on execution of unique projects
relating to Unexploded Ordnance (UXO), Explosive Ordnance Waste (EOW), and Humanitarian Demining. Our Project Management experience is vast and
varied and has been extremely successful for both on-site and remote or
virtual management applications. Our proven skills managing complex
projects are a result of our staff's intensive management training,
experience and many years of involvement in the UXO industry.
Our armoured excavator is designed to remediate munitions related waste
sites in a safe and efficient manner.
XTECH utilizes a Geographic
Information System (GIS) platform with fully integrated Global Positioning
Satellites (GPS) data collection capabilities which permits us to track
and verify all stages of development throughout the project life.
Complete in-house GPS and GIS expertise ensures that project-specific
requirements are met with fully customized systems development.
XTECH's expertise in electromagnetic
data collection technologies is garnered from years of practical
experience in challenging environments. XTECH offers detection solutions for UXO over a variety of terrain conditions on land and
underwater.

XTECH has made a conscious decision to actively pursue the
development of innovative techniques for the conduct of UXO, Humanitarian
Demining and Battle Area Clearance operations.
The
use of state of the art equipment and customized software by trained and
motivated personnel is a major contribution toward meeting that commitment.
UXO survey data collection is maximized utilizing our custom engineered towed
array platform enhanced by GPS integration. The development of the
armoured excavator has been proven by its successful deployment in clearance
operations, providing a safe, practical and cost-effective solution for the
remediation of UXO waste sites.
The ongoing research and development of new technologies and the real-world
implementation of those technologies will ensure our company remains on the
leading edge of industry in both innovation and application both at home and
